Live — month 1

From influencer brand
to standalone
business.

This is a real story, told in real time. No polished case study. The honest account of what it actually takes to build a business that works when the founder steps back.

The challenge

A brilliant brand. A loyal audience. And a revenue problem hiding in plain sight.

The Naked Doula was built by Emma — an extraordinary woman who took something the birth world desperately needed and made it impossible to ignore. Honest, unfiltered, empowering education about birth, rights, physiology, and mindset. Women found her and felt seen.

But here's the problem: when Emma wasn't posting, the sales stopped. Not slowed down — stopped. The business had been built around one person's face on Instagram. Which means it wasn't really a business yet — it was a personal brand with a shop attached.

Emma is brilliant. She's also human — with other projects and a life that doesn't always allow for daily content creation. The business needed to breathe without her. It didn't know how yet.

"The most fragile business in the world is one that only works when the founder shows up."
The mission

Building the infrastructure underneath the brand.

The brand is already there. The trust is already there. The audience is already there. What's missing is the structure that converts all of that into reliable, predictable revenue — whether Emma posts today or not.

01
Revenue that doesn't depend on posting
Email sequences, evergreen content, and automated customer journeys that sell while Emma is focused elsewhere.
02
A customer journey that holds
Mapping how women find The Naked Doula, what they need to see before they buy, and removing every piece of friction in between.
03
Brand identity beyond the founder
The Naked Doula stands for something specific. Making sure that message lives in the website and copy — not just in Emma's stories.
04
Data-led decisions
Understanding where customers come from, where they drop off, and which products are actually driving revenue.
05
Operational structure
Processes and systems so the business doesn't rely on one person holding everything together.
06
Sustainable, predictable growth
Not viral spikes. Month-on-month revenue that builds because the foundation is solid.
The journal

Documented as it happens.

The decisions, the challenges, the things that work and the things that don't. Because the messy middle is where the real learning lives — and I'd rather show that honestly than wait for a polished case study.

Walking in and mapping what's actually there
Week one was about understanding the business as it actually exists — not as anyone describes it. Where does revenue come from? What does the customer journey look like right now? Where are the gaps between the audience's trust and the business capturing that value? The picture is becoming clear. The opportunity is significant.
Building the email infrastructure
The first piece of the puzzle — a welcome sequence and evergreen email funnel that means new subscribers are nurtured and converted without Emma needing to show up in real time.
Rebuilding the website customer journey
The site has incredible brand assets — but the path from landing to buying isn't clear enough yet. Fixing that with data, not guesswork.
Why this matters to me

The Naked Doula is about women owning their birth experience.

Being informed. Being empowered. Trusting what their bodies are capable of. That's not just a business I believe in — it's a philosophy I live by. Own your birth. Own your health. Own your learning. Own your business.

Building this from the inside — with skin in the game, not just as a consultant — is one of the most meaningful things I've taken on.

Building something similar? Let's talk.

If you're running an influencer-led business and you recognise this challenge — or if you're ready to build something that doesn't depend entirely on you showing up every day — I'd love to hear about it.
